Description
An original vintage sixties black and white photograph of John Lennon taken by Dezo Hoffmann on the 22nd July 1963 in Weston-super-Mare. The Beatles had arrived in the seaside resort to play six consecutive nights at the Odeon Cinema, before their evening performance they spent their day having fun around town. There is a Dezo Hoffmann copyright stamp on the reverse of the photo along with some reference notes made in pencil.
The large print measures 29.5cm x 38.4cm (11.6 inches x 15.1 inches). There is a 1.2cm tear to the top right corner. There is creasing to the top edge and wear to the corners. The condition is very good.
Provenance: from the estate of Paul Goresh who famously took the last ever photograph of John Lennon in 1980.
