Description

An original super rare 1970s promotional display standee for The Beatles 1970 album ‘Let It Be’ which was only produced in Japan. It features the images of each member of the group from the album cover along with the album details and the Japanese catalogue number on the stand at the bottom.
The standee measures 10.7cm (4.2 inches) in height. There are signs of wear to the display with some discolouration to the images of the group. The condition is very good minus.
Provenance: from the estate of Kenny Smith, a former employee of both Apple Corps and also of Ringo Starr and Maureen Starkey. Accompanying this lot is a colour photograph taken in Apple in which one of these Japanese standees can be seen on top of one the desks in the office.
