Description
A Special Handling luggage tag which was attached to George Harrison’s luggage on an Air India flight in 1968. The reverse has the following handwritten details ‘Mr G Harrison’ as the name, ‘VIP’ as the status, ‘LON’ as the destination and ‘AI103’ as the flight number.
The tag measures 7.8cm (3 inches) in diameter. There is creasing to the tag. The condition is very good minus.
Provenance: obtained by a previous employee of Apple Electronics and comes with a letter from his daughter which reads:
‘My father, David Godwin, worked for Apple Electronics and was a frequent visitor to the Saville [sic] Row office. He picked this up in Saville [sic] Row. It is a VIP cabin luggage label which was attached to George’s luggage on an Air India flight on one of his visits to India in 1968’.
