Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the daughter of the original recipient of the signatures that reads:
‘My name is Linda and in April 1964 I lived with my mother Betty Vaughan at the Bridgend Hotel, Callander, Perthshire, Scotland. Betty was manageress of the Bridgend Hotel, and I attended McClarren high school across from the hotel. Alas, The Beatles arrived at Roman Camp County Manor Hotel for 2 nights, my mother and friend Fred Bolan were invited to cocktail bar by friends of my mother’s after regular closing time. The next day she got their autographs for me at this time. The next day she took me and my friend Sandra Cunnigham to Roman Camp Hotel by car hoping to meet them again. The headmaster was there and sent us all back to school. We had to write a composition of apology of our behaviour missing school. Fun memories’.
