A one-page letter from 1985 handwritten and signed by Cynthia Lennon in blue felt tipped pen that relates to her design of a T-shirt for the 1985 Liverpool Beatles Convention. The letter reads:
‘Dear Ron.
Find enclosed.
Design for Teeshirt – colourways are up to you. Lettering – I will leave up to you also whatever you think suitable – I hope it fulfills (sic) all the needs without drawing four mop Top’s on it.

The letter comes with the original Merseybeatle ’85 sample T-shirt which was designed and supplied by Cynthia Lennon.
The T-shirt is size small and it comes in its original packaging. The condition is excellent. The letter measures 22cm x 30cm (9 inches x 11.75 inches). Two horizontal folds and laid flat. The condition is excellent.
Provenance: accompanied by a letter from author Ron Jones that reads ‘In 1984 I had the responsibility for staging “The Art of The Beatles” exhibition, held in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, from May to September that year I asked Cynthia Lennon, who had a number of her illustrations on display in the exhibition, if she would officially open the exhibition. She accepted and also later agreed to design a special T-shirt for the Liverpool Beatles Convention, to be held in August 1985 at the Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, which I organised. This sample, unused, T-shirt is the one she designed and accompanying it is a related letter and sample signature that she sent me’.
