A vintage 1960s JAL Japanese Airlines happi coat similar to the ones that The Beatles wore on their arrival in Japan on June 1st 1966. Manufacturer’s label reads ‘ORDER MADE Matsuya SHIRT’. A happi is a traditional tube-sleeved coat usually worn only during festivals or public occasions. The design or text on the happi relates to the festival or occasion.
No size label present but would fit large. The condition is excellent.
